1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Stratum, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the application. These terms apply to all users, including visitors, registered users, and subscribers.
2. Entertainment and Self-Reflection Only
Stratum synthesizes personality frameworks and wisdom traditions into narrative portraits for entertainment and personal insight. The portraits generated are interpretive, not diagnostic. Stratum is not a licensed mental health service, and no content within the application should be treated as professional advice of any kind.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years of age to use Stratum. By using the application, you represent that you meet this requirement.
4. Account Responsibilities
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to provide accurate information and to notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account.
5. Subscriptions and Billing
Stratum offers optional paid subscription tiers (Enhanced and Complete). Subscriptions are billed monthly. Founding member pricing: if you subscribe during the founding pricing period, your rate is locked for as long as your subscription remains active. If you cancel and later resubscribe, you will be charged the current rate at the time of resubscription. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial subscription periods.
6. Free Tier
A free tier is available with no payment required. Free tier features may change over time. We reserve the right to modify, limit, or discontinue the free tier with reasonable notice.
7. Intellectual Property and Proprietary Methodology
All content, design, frameworks, and methodology within Stratum are the property of Stratum and its licensors. The personality portrait generated for you is yours to keep and share personally. You may not reproduce, distribute, or commercially exploit Stratum's methodology, design system, or framework architecture.
Stratum's synthesis architecture — including the selection, weighting, combination, and sequencing of personality frameworks, wisdom traditions, and analytical systems used to generate portraits — constitutes proprietary trade secret methodology. This includes but is not limited to the framework selection logic, scoring engine, prompt architecture, tier structure, and the specific combination of systems employed. You agree not to reverse engineer, replicate, or commercially exploit this methodology in any form. Unauthorized reproduction or commercial use of Stratum's proprietary synthesis approach is expressly prohibited and may subject you to legal action.
8. Limitation of Liability
Stratum is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties and shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the application. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid to Stratum in the twelve months preceding the claim.
9. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notice. Continued use of Stratum after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles.
